Step 1: Pre-Hospitalisation Consultation/Scans/Tests

Make full payment for all bills and keep the finalised invoice.

Step 2: Letter of Guarantee (LOG) During Admission

A LOG helps you to obtain a partial or full waiver of the upfront cash deposit required for hospitalisation or day surgery, subject to the acceptance of the hospital. 

On the day of admission, simply inform the hospital admission officer that you wish to request an LOG and they will assist to request for the LOG on your behalf. 

The LOG limits for the respective companies are as follow:

HSBC Life: Up to $120,000

Income: Up to $50,000

Singlife: Up to $80,000 

Step 3: Hospitalisation/Day Surgery

The hospital/clinic will e-file the hospitalisation/day surgery claim with the insurance company for you. The insurance company will settle the covered portion of the bill directly with the hospital. The hospital will then send you the final bill and process any refunds to you if applicable.

Step 4: Post-hospitalisation consultation/scans/tests

Make full payment for all bills and keep the finalised invoice.

Step 5: Submit pre- and post-hospitalisation claims
